When the energy, or qi, can’t get through, we suffer from illness. In acupuncture, a very fine needle is inserted at specific points along the meridians to help the energy flow uninterrupted again, thereby restoring the patient’s health. In acupressure, the practitioner uses a thumb or other fingers to apply pressure to those same points.

Currently in Australia, the majority of women whose babies are in breech position face having a Caesarean section delivery.
Acupuncture involves the superficial insertion of very fine, single use sterile needles to specific reactive points on the body which encourage the baby into a more optimal, head down position.
The efficacy of the treatment is enhanced by a specialised therapy called ‘moxibustion’. This involves applying compressed Mugwort herb as a heat source to the acupuncture points.
Skilled practitioners have a high success rate in turning breech babies, enabling those clients to avoid a Caesarean section. Treatment should be started if your baby is in breech passed week 35.
Many babies turn after only one session, typically within 2 days of treatment. Sometimes up to 3 treatments are needed.

Acupuncture involves the superficial insertion of very fine, sterile, single use needles which stimulate specific reactive points on the body, scientifically shown to help labour commence naturally.
Acupuncture is a less invasive, more gentle alternative for women wanting to try to avoid a medical induction.
Acupuncture allows the body to go into labour more gradually and naturally than the medical methods which are very effective but at the same time tend to be very confronting and often cause the sudden and severe onset of painful contractions.
The average time from having a treatment to the onset of labour can range from just a few hours to one day. Sometimes a second treatment is needed. The ideal time to have acupuncture is at the beginning of the 40th week.

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo., Aug 12, 2008 (BUSINESS WIRE) — Dr. Paul C. Magarelli, a nationally noted specialist in the field of reproductive endocrinology and infertility, and Dr. Diane K. Cridennda, a recognized authority on acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine, have announced early results of an ongoing study linking acupuncture to positive in-vitro fertilization (IVF) outcomes. The study, which includes the largest-ever participant pool for a study of its kind, explores the increase in take home baby rates associated with combined Eastern and Western medicine treatments.
Drs. Magarelli and Cridennda’s ongoing research shows an astonishing 15 percent increase in pregnancies, with a 23 percent climb in actual births in IVF patients treated with acupuncture. In addition, of the 578 patients Magarelli has co-treated at the Reproductive […]

I saw the trailer for this movie the day it came to DVD and was so insanely excited I went out and rented it that day. As far as I’m concerned, you can’t get any better than Crispin Glover (Willard, Back to the Future), Jeffrey Combs (Re-Animator) and Brad Dourif (the voice of Chucky from the Child’s Play series) gracing the screen in the same flick. These three are not only horror movie legends, but they’re cult film legends, which is what makes a movie like this so enjoyable to watch.
Edmund Bigelow (Kip Pardue) runs a nightly newspaper. One night, while out with his girlfriend, Maggie (Bijou Phillips), they attend a magic show called “The Wizard of Gore: Montag the […]

Maybe it is just not the right egg which in turn will produce the right child for you. Maybe you are not at the right place in your life to be this parent you are intended to be. Perhaps our world is changing and there are just too many babies already born, and your purpose is to adopt on of these wonderful children who need you.
Whatever the case may be — you have a purpose. Understanding that purpose will help you to feel better about who you are.
A 1999 Merck & Co. study of its since-withdrawn painkiller Vioxx, touted to participating doctors and patients as meant to show whether Vioxx caused fewer stomach problems than another drug, was primarily a stealth marketing strategy, researchers report.
The true purpose was to get lots of doctors and patients in the habit of using Vioxx just in time for its launch, according to doctors who uncovered internal Merck memos discussing the strategy behind the study, called ADVANTAGE. They did so while reviewing roughly a million Merck documents for plaintiffs’ lawyers preparing for trials in Vioxx lawsuits.

This kind of stealth marketing is known as a “seeding trial.” In an interview with Dr. Daniel Carlat for the Carlat Psychiatry Blog, Dr. Kevin Hill defines such a trial as “a study that is designed to appear as though it is answering a scientific question but whose true […]
